Gas gives higher raw kW at lower running cost per kWh, but requires Gas Safe install and annual sign-off. Electric is cheaper to install, quieter and easier to service. Most UK chippies opt for gas floor-standing; most QSRs opt for electric countertop.

It means the appliance carries the UKCA mark and a Declaration of Conformity listing the standards it was tested to (BS EN 60335 for electric, BS EN 203 for gas). Your insurer and Environmental Health officer will ask for the DoC — we ship one with every unit.
